Hey there, Jess here.

My first camera was a hot pink Vivitar 110 that I received for my 6th birthday. I couldn't tell you how many dozens of rolls I shot on it, but I'm sure my parents could tell you that I had a particularly expensive hobby for a 6-year-old.

I've been hooked on photography since.

I took every college photography course I could enroll in. I took gigs and side jobs and volunteered my services with different organizations between my 9-to-5 desk job.

In 2023, I happened upon an opportunity with the Arizona Humane Society, and it's been the most challenging and rewarding direction I could have possibly taken in my photography career.

I'm not just a shutterbug, I'm a huge proponent for adoption and rescue. Joining an organization whose values align so closely with mine has been incredible. Not many people get to say they are excited to go to work in the morning.

I have two dogs and three cats of my own, all adopted (one cat I scooped off of the East bound AZ 101 when she was a kitten, but that's a story for another time).

When I'm not shooting for AHS, I shoot film (35 and 120). I'm a die-hard fan of Ilford 3200 and a 'nifty fifty'. If I'm not shooting on my Minolta X-700, I'm dusting off my Mamiya 645.
